MIRGRATION
Fear Not, the Family Will Overcome
What You Need To Know
MIGRATION is a wonderful, funny and poignant animated story of a family of ducks that decides to migrate south from Northeastern America to Jamaica, but encounters obstacles along the way. MIGRATION is a funny, sweet, heartwarming movie with many positive morally uplifting biblical messages promoting family, but there are some scary animated situations and a scary villain.
Mack and Pam Mallard are seen telling a story to their two children before they go to bed. Pam reminds Mack that the children could get scared. So, she asks him not to make the story too scary.
The next day, the Mallards come across another family of ducks that say they’re migrating south to Jamaica. Pam thinks this is a great idea to get the family to go on a trip, but Mack doesn’t like going outside his comfort zone. Pam and the children finally convince Mack it will be good for the whole family to try something new. Of course, they also must bring along their goofy family member, Uncle Dan.
When the Mallards start on their trip, it isn’t long before they come to the big city, New York. They’ve never been to such a huge bustling city, and they soon find themselves fighting with some pigeons over a sandwich in Central Park.
Once they work out who gets what food, they learn from the pigeon leader, Chump, about a handsome Parrot named Delroy, who has information on how to get to Jamaica. However, a
mean chef has captured Delroy and imprisoned him in a cage. Chef won’t let Delroy out of the cage, but all Delroy wants to do is return to Jamaica and find his family.
Will the Mallards be able to get Delroy out of the cage and find their way to Jamaica? Will Mack get over his fears and help his family get south?
MIGRATION is a very fun movie that also has a lot of heart. The movie has wonderful themes about helping others who need help. Also, the movie talks about being positive and not letting hardships get you down, but rather work together so you will get through anything. There is also a nice theme about siblings supporting each other.
MIGRATION has a strong morally uplifting worldview with biblical values. The movie extolls family and marriage. It also has a great message about working together as a loving married couple. MIGRATION celebrates every dynamic of family life, including positive relationships between husbands and wives, parents and children, and siblings. Of course, MIGRATION portrays challenges within these relationships, but it shows how families overcome hardships and obstacles by working together and by making everyone better by loving one another.
However, there are several apparently scary situations in MIGRATION, such as scary pigeons and scary-looking birds who might eat ducks, but they all turn out to be harmless. So, don’t judge someone by their looks! The Chef, however, is very scary up to the climax.
