Beloved Hallmark star Andrew Walker celebrated the channel’s 25th birthday by answering 25 questions from fans, including a possible update about a favorite franchise.
One person asked “What is your favorite movie of all time?”
“Hallmark movie, I assume,” Walker clarified before adding, “You know, they’re all my little children. I can’t pick just one.”
“Obviously, THE WISE MEN are special. Ones that I’ve done with really close friends,” he reflected, continuing, “CURIOUS CATERERs, I love those.”
Which then led fans to ask, “Will we be seeing more CURIOUS CATERER movies?”
“You betcha…Yes,” Walker answered.
The CURIOUS CATERER MYSTERIES first debuted in 2022 and was last on screen in 2024. They follow Walker’s local detective Tom as he teams up with caterer Goldy (Nikki DeLoach) to solve murder cases. 2022’s DYING FOR CHOCOLATE launched the series.
As it stands, Hallmark has not filmed any other movies or series for the franchise, but scripts have been written. Walker urged fans to reach out to Hallmark to get the ball rolling.
“I wish there were updates on CURIOUS CATERER, but everybody, message Hallmark and go to the chat groups and tell them how much you’re missing CURIOUS CATERER, okay, and we will potentially get here,” Walker told US Weekly in May. “I’ve been told that we might get some more episodes back. We’re ready to go. Scripts are written, and I’m here.”
But as much as the fans want him to, he can’t talk about much of the script yet.
“I mean, I can’t really tease much,” Walker said of the future of the CURIOUS CATERER MYSTERIES. “I know that what we’re going to do is we’re going to start exploring more of the other storylines. So, some of the peripheral characters, people don’t know, really, you know, what’s going on with Marla? What’s going on with Riley’s character? What are the individual characters around them, and their peripheral doing, and where do they come from, and what are their hobbies and fun things they like to do?”
He continued, “And because they’re so developed, those characters, even though they’re, you know, they’re not in it as much as Tom and Goldy are. But I think there’s just a lot of fun opportunities there.”
While fans will have to wait for official news on new episodes, Walker’s excitement is clear — and with scripts already in hand, it may just take a little fan pressure to bring CURIOUS CATERER back to life.
