KING OF QUEENS star Leah Remini is trying out a new type of TV show — the actress is officially joining the cast of THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS.
“It’s true!!” Remini captioned an Instagram post announcing her role on the popular reality show’s sixteenth season.
In addition to Remini, REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS is also adding MILLION DOLLAR LISTING LOS ANGELES’ Tracy Tutor to the cast. Full-time cast members Kyle Richards, Erika “Jayne” Girardi, Dorit Kemsley, Bozoma Saint John, Rachel Zoe and Sutton Stracke are all returning, with Kathy Hilton and Jennifer Tilly set to make appearances as “friends” of the Housewives.
Earlier this year, it was also announced that the actress had signed with WME for representation.

“WME will work with Remini to further expand her brand across television, film, digital media, podcasting, original content development, and additional platforms,” Variety reported.
Remini is a former Scientologist and has been outspoken in her criticism of the organization. She even received the International Documentary Association’s Truth to Power Award for her A&E docuseries SCIENTOLOGY AND THE AFTERMATH.
“Six years,” she told the IDA when asked how long she had been considering leaving Scientology. “It took me that long because I was indoctrinated in Scientology as a child by my parents.”
Remini explained that you are being “raised with a cult mentality that whatever’s being disseminated in the public are lies and that the people who are speaking out against Scientology are criminals.”
“I’m proud that people continue to speak out and I’m proud that people now know what Scientology truly is, how it affects people and how it’s attempting to destroy people’s lives,” she continued. “Scientology knows that we are telling the truth and the contributors of our program are telling the truth and that is why they are doing what they’re doing [against us].”
Remini added, “This could be very Pollyanna of me and very naive, but I do believe that good will win out in the end.”
In the years since her break with Scientology, Remini has embraced Catholicism, telling PEOPLE she finds peace attending church “by myself, sitting and praying and doing my rosary.”
“Sometimes I don’t do anything,” she shared. “To me it’s what religion is supposed to be: a beautiful thing.”
Reality TV fans are excited to see what Remini will bring to THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS.
