THE VOICE recently asked fans to share their burning questions, and they all had one request — to bring Blake Shelton back to the show.
“Ask our Coaches anything…” a recent Instagram post read. “From your favorite performance of the last 30 seasons to the most hilarious behind-the-scenes moments. Got a question for them? Drop it below.”
While there were many questions about performance tips and who their dream coach would be, several fans asked for Shelton to return to THE VOICE.
“This is for Blake Shelton: Man, we need you back to THE VOICE, to face off Adam and Kelly, in one season with only three of you,” one person wrote.

Another commented, “Anything with Blake in it is hilarious and fun! I miss him!”
Shelton served as a coach on THE VOICE from 2011’s premiere season through Season 23, which aired in 2023. His team won a grand total of nine times during his tenure on the show, and he ended up meeting future wife Gwen Stefani when she joined THE VOICE as a coach in 2014.
When asked about a favorite memory of his time on the show, Shelton told Entertainment Weekly, “I couldn’t even begin to tell you what my favorite memory was. But my favorite thing that’s happened and developed was I met my wife on this show.”
“It changed the path of my career,” he told the TODAY show in 2023. “When I came on as a coach on this show, everything in my life was turned upside down. And in a good way, you know? This has been incredible, but it’s time, you know. It’s time for not even what’s next. A little bit of nothing would be nice.”
When asked in 2024 if he would ever consider returning to THE VOICE, Shelton said, “I did 23 seasons of the show and I enjoyed it, and by the time I got to that last season, it was time. I needed to get back to what my day job was anyway, which is, you know, being a country singer.”
“I don’t mean to sound like I’m not a part of the family anymore,” he added. “It was the most important years of my life where I was a coach on THE VOICE. But as far as the job goes, I don’t think I’m ever ready to do that again as I sit here now.”
Sorry, VOICE fans — it looks like Shelton doesn’t have any plans to return to the singing competition show any time soon.
