Should You Watch It?

Here's the good news up front: this is about as safe and as good as pre-school television gets. The first three episodes of Season Two follow Blippi and his friend Meekah as they try on three real jobs — zookeeper, airplane pilot, and veterinarian — and come away with real knowledge and real gratitude.

It is squeaky clean, but that never dulls the fun. The hosts are charismatic and full of energy, the episodes are expertly shot on location, and the lessons are genuinely informative — not just for children, but for the parents watching too. The show promotes kindness, teamwork, hard work, and caring well for animals, and it treats even the least glamorous jobs as worth doing well.

So the practical answer is easy: press play with confidence. Your little ones will be entertained, you'll learn a thing or two, and there's nothing here to fast-forward past.

The Story

NO SPOILERS — WE KEEP THE SURPRISES

Blippi, an energetic young man, and Meekah, his inquisitive best friend, want hands-on job experience — so each episode plays out like an interactive field trip. They speak straight to the viewers, share fun facts, and ask for help along the way.

In these three episodes they take on being zookeepers, airplane pilots, and veterinarians, learning from real professionals in the desert, at an actual private airport, and behind the controls of heavy machinery. Naturally, a few roadblocks get in the way. Will optimism be enough to carry them through?

Is It Any Good?

Four stars, and the show earns every one. The actors playing Blippi and Meekah do amazing work — charismatic, energetic, and genuinely thankful for the viewers' input. That effort extends to the program's surprising scope. Each episode is shot on location, with the hosts physically interacting with animals, operating machinery, and visiting a real private airport. Those settings lend a sense of grandeur to an otherwise small-scale Netflix series.

Best of all, the show is informative for everyone. Blippi and Meekah offer in-depth insights into the duties and hazards of each job — advocating seatbelts, awareness of one's surroundings, and caution around animals. Strip away the songs and flashy visuals, and it still functions as a valuable teaching tool for anyone curious about the "dirty jobs." This is a high benchmark for the format.

The Worldview

This is a show built on strong moral, biblical ideals. Blippi and Meekah model teamwork, kindness, and gratitude at every turn. They listen actively, respect their field guides, and bring their "A game" to the least glamorous work. When they hit an obstacle, they reach for lateral thinking and creative problem-solving rather than giving up.

The show also carries a clear pro-capitalist message: that any job — even the least appreciated in society — has intrinsic value for the human soul. And though there is no mention of God or Jesus, the characters consistently stress treating animals with dignity and respect, and caring for the environment they work in.

What this program quietly teaches — that honest work is worth doing well, and that even the humblest task carries dignity — sits close to what Scripture says about labor. "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men" (Colossians 3:23). A children's show can't preach that verse, but it can plant the seed of it, and this one does.
