However, reclusive member Derrick refuses to take part unless Kaitlin helps him drum up ticket sales for a local variety show. As the two work together, sparks fly. When they reveal their secrets, Kaitlin and Derrick put their pride aside and decide what matters most.
Kaitlin loves her job as a producer on a morning show but hopes to score a promotion. When a planned guest for an end-of-summer episode drops out, Kaitlin tells her boss she can fill the slot with a reunion performance from ’90s boyband Absolutely Yeah. If she cannot pull it off, Kaitlin risks losing her job, along with most of her co-workers.
Kaitlin quickly gets all the band members on board except one—Derrick. He quit the band at the height of their fame and now lives in a small town, where he works at the local community center. When Kaitlin tracks him down, he refuses to take part in the reunion show but softens when she tells him she can help boost ticket sales for an upcoming variety show at the center. Derrick tells her if they sell enough tickets, he will perform at the reunion.
The pair spends time together promoting the variety show, but they see no results. Kaitlin then decides to go behind Derrick’s back and enlists some of the boys taking part in the show for a social media campaign that stars Derrick’s former bandmates. Her plan works, but Derrick gets angry when he finds out what happened. However, Kaitlin feels upset when Derrick reveals he never had any intention of doing the reunion. After a heart-to-heart with a bandmate, Derrick realizes his actions hurt Kaitlin just as much as her deception hurt him.
The day of the reunion show arrives, and Kaitlin has not yet told her boss that Derrick won’t take part in the performance. Will Derek show up, securing the promotion for Kaitlin and saving her coworkers’ jobs?

ABSOLUTELY DEVOTED TO YOU delivers a moral worldview. Derrick works at a community center and often speaks about his desire to connect with people and make a difference. However, some immoral behavior exists, such as Kaitlin misleading her boss about the reunion show, going behind Derrick’s back for the social media video, and Derrick making the deal with no intention of going through with the show. Two characters meet in a bar and have an alcoholic beverage but don’t drink to excess. Otherwise, no objectionable content appears.
