Prime Video set a premiere date for THE TERMINAL LIST’s long-awaited second season, releasing a batch of first-look photos alongside the news, according to Deadline.
“I cannot wait for fans of the show to see it, for fans of the second book, True Believer, to see the book fully done on the screen. Get yourself ready, man, because I think we really elevated,” Chris Pratt — who plays Navy SEAL Commander James Reece and also serves as an executive producer on the series — told Collider back in January.
All eight episodes of Season 2 will drop at once on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2026, nearly four years after the show became one of Prime Video’s biggest hits. The new season adapts True Believer, the second novel in author Jack Carr’s James Reece series, and it’s a different animal from Season 1.
Where the first season was a tightly wound revenge story, Season 2 sends Reece across the Indian Ocean, Africa, the Middle East and Europe as a reluctant government asset chasing a conspiracy that reaches from Moscow to Langley. Reece’s search for the men responsible for his family’s deaths gives way to a mission with much bigger stakes.

Tom Hopper returns as Raife Hastings, and Constance Wu is back as journalist Katie Buranek. Dar Salim reprises his role as Mohammed Farooq, and Gabriel Luna returns as Freddy Strain, a former SEAL Team Six officer turned CIA operative.
Luke Hemsworth joins the cast this season as Jules Landry, with Costa Ronin, Olga Kurylenko, Yul Vazquez, Martin Sensmeier, Arnold Vosloo and Shiraz Tzarfati rounding out the new additions.
David DiGilio returns as writer, showrunner and executive producer. Pratt, Carr, Antoine Fuqua, Kat Samick, Jared Shaw and Max Adams also executive produce, with Amazon MGM Studios, MRC, and Civic Center Media producing.
The show has now pulled in more than 100 million viewers worldwide since its 2022 debut, and a prequel spinoff, THE TERMINAL LIST: DARK WOLF, arrived last year to bridge the gap.
Parents should know that THE TERMINAL LIST has always leaned hard into war violence and military combat, and a season built around espionage and assassination plots isn’t likely to soften that. Families who watched Season 1 together should expect the same graphic, R-rated intensity dialed up rather than down.
Still, there’s something worth noting underneath all the gunfire. Reece’s arc has always been framed as one of “violent redemption” — a man trying to find purpose and meaning after loss breaks him apart. It’s a messy, imperfect picture of grace, but it’s one Christian viewers who value stories of hard-won redemption may find worth sitting with, so long as they go in with eyes open about the content.
THE TERMINAL LIST Season 2 premieres Oct. 21 on Prime Video.
