Bruce Willis’ wife Emma Heming Willis is celebrating the “beautiful moments of joy” in their lives as the actor continues his battle with frontotemporal dementia.

Emma, 45, shared a sweet video on Instagram of the couple enjoying a day out at Disneyland, riding a boat ride with their two daughters, Mabel, 11, and Evelyn, 9.

“You can bet that this family will always find the joy in things,” Emma captioned the post. “We are big believers in looking for the beauty and magic in the mundane. And that day was full of it.”

The video shows Bruce, 68, smiling and laughing with his family as they take in the sights and sounds of the theme park. Emma also shared a photo of the couple holding hands, with Bruce wearing a Mickey Mouse hat.

Emma has been open about the challenges of caring for her husband since he was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in February 2023. She has used her platform to raise awareness about the disease and to support other caregivers.

“I’m learning that when you’re a caregiver, you have to be good to yourself in order to be good to your loved one,” she wrote in a recent Instagram post. “It’s not selfish, it’s essential.”

Despite the difficulties, Emma has maintained a positive outlook, focusing on the good moments and cherishing the time she has with her husband.

“I have so much more hope today than I did after Bruce was first diagnosed,” she said in an interview with The Sunday Paper. “I understand the disease more, and I am now connected to a wonderful community of support.”

Bruce’s ex-wife, Demi Moore, and their three daughters, Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah, have also been supportive of the family, often spending time together and sharing their love for Bruce on social media.

The family’s openness about Bruce’s condition has been praised by fans and experts alike, helping to destigmatize dementia and encourage others to seek support.

As Emma continues to navigate the challenges of her husband’s illness, she remains committed to finding joy in every moment and celebrating the love that binds her family together.

Hemos aprendido a adaptarnos y a apoyar a Bruce”.

The Unexpected Journey: Finding Strength, Hope, and Yourself on the Caregiving Path.
