Get ready, mystery fans — a new AINSLEY MCGREGOR movie is on the way.
“I’ve always loved solving a good mystery, but what I love the most about Ainsley is how fiercely loyal she is,” star Candace Cameron Bure told Us Weekly. “I love how she’ll do whatever it takes to help the people she loves, and I see a lot of myself in her that way.”
The actress then confirmed she is currently filming THE AINSLEY MCGREGOR MYSTERIES: A CASE FOR THE MODEL MAKER, the fourth installment in the popular series.
In a press release about the movie, Great American Media President and CEO Bill Abbott said, “Candace Cameron Bure, Aaron Ashmore and Robin Dunne have created the kind of chemistry that makes audiences want to return to Sweet River again and again. Candace has an exceptional instinct for the mystery genre. She understands that viewers come for the case, but they stay for the characters, the relationships and the world fans have come to love.”

Bure added, “THE MODEL MAKER is one of our most compelling AINSLEY MCGREGOR mysteries yet. It delivers the twists and suspense fans love, while exploring something deeply personal, the universal desire to belong. Every clue uncovers more than a mystery; it reveals how far people will go to feel seen, valued, and connected. It’s a story that keeps you guessing until the end and stays with you long after the final reveal.”
“One of the greatest joys of building a mystery franchise has been watching a growing audience care about the characters,” Bure shared with Us. “These stories have become more than standalone mysteries, we’re inviting viewers back to Sweet River to spend time with friends they love.”
She continued, “[The return viewership] tells me they’re invested not only in solving the case but in the people and the world we’ve created. Watching the AINSLEY MCGREGOR audience grow with every installment has been incredibly exciting, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the loyal fans who continue to join us on the journey.”
Bure has previously spoken about her love of the AINSLEY MCGREGOR movies, and the mystery genre as a whole.
“I love the mystery genre,” she told TV Insider in 2024. “I really wanted to find a character that felt different, one that I could resonate with, and also that the dynamics of the other relationships were really interesting to me. So I love that Ainsley McGregor is a criminologist, so she, by trade, is trying to solve mysteries. She teaches classes at a college, and then she’s also this woman who is an entrepreneur. She opened her own business called Bless Your Arts, which I just loved.”
Speaking about the movie series, Bure said, “It’s kind of an actor’s dream because you get to really find that person and develop them and create who you want them to be. I love doing franchise work like this a lot, and I know that the fans absolutely love it. You fall in love with characters. You want to know what’s going to happen next, and that’s the beauty and the benefit of doing it like this.”
THE AINSLEY MCGREGOR MYSTERIES: A CASE FOR THE MODEL MAKER premieres on Great American Pure Flix, Great American Family and GFAM+ in early 2027.
