Marvel’s longest-running Spider-Man series just landed its biggest vote of confidence yet.

Disney Jr. and Disney+ announced Aug. 15 that MARVEL’S SPIDEY AND HIS AMAZING FRIENDS has been renewed for a historic seventh season, extending the run of a preschool hit that has already logged nearly 1.3 billion hours streamed on Disney+ worldwide.

“We love this show, and it’s been incredible to see how much kids do too,” Disney Branded Television President Ayo Davis said when the series earned its fifth-season pickup back in February 2025 — a sentiment that has only held up as Team Spidey keeps swinging into more living rooms.

Alyssa Sapire, head of Disney Jr., Original Programming and Strategy, delivered the Season 7 news herself during the “Celebrate 65 Years of Marvel’s Spider-Man!” panel at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim, Calif. The same panel offered fans a first look at a new special, SPIDEY AND THE AVENGERS: HALLOWEEN TEAM-UP!, which premieres Thursday, Sept. 24, on Disney Jr. and Disney Jr. on Demand, streaming the next day on Disney+.

Grammy Award-nominated musicians Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy and Este Haim of HAIM will guest star as villains Jack O’Lantern and Hallows Eve. Stump, who has composed music for the series since it launched in 2021, wrote two original songs for the special, including “Hallows’ Eve Theme,” both landing via Walt Disney Records on Sunday, Aug. 16, on all digital platforms.

MARVEL’S SPIDEY AND HIS AMAZING FRIENDS follows Peter Parker, Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy as “Team Spidey,” young heroes who team up with familiar Avengers to protect their community and learn along the way that teamwork beats going it alone. Season 5, which debuted last month, is already off to the strongest start of any new season since the show’s first, based on Disney+ viewership hours. Season 6 arrives in 2027, with Season 7 following in 2028.

The merchandise numbers back up the hype on screen. The series was the No. 3-selling preschool toy license worldwide in 2025, according to market research firm Circana, and new Spidey-themed products from Hasbro and the LEGO Group are already on shelves at major retailers. All four completed seasons remain available to stream on Disney+.

Movieguide® has tracked Team Spidey’s adventures closely over the years, and the series has consistently delivered the kind of lessons parents actually want their preschoolers absorbing. Movieguide®’s review of Season 5’s opening episodes highlighted a moment where the show teaches that “we help others because it is the right thing to do, not because anyone will praise us for it” — a fittingly biblical lesson tucked inside a web-slinging cartoon.

That same review flagged a few things worth watching for, too: mild cartoon violence, some name-calling and a plot point involving mind control, enough for Movieguide® to recommend a parent stay nearby to talk through the trickier moments with young viewers. Even so, with a seventh season locked in, a Halloween special on the way and rock stars lining up to play villains, Peter, Miles and Gwen show no signs of hanging up their masks — and so far, they’re still using their amazing powers for the right reasons.
