For Candace Cameron Bure, standing strong in her faith has never been something she’s shied away from.
“I never set out to be bold [in my faith],” she said during a recent Instagram Q&A. “I’ve always answered questions honestly since I was a kid and shared my love for Jesus. As I got older, like everyone, there comes moments in your life when you have to make decisions about who you are, what you believe and what are your principles, values and morals. Mine have mostly been public because of the nature of my job.”
Bure continued, “I have made my decisions based on whether or not I believe they are honoring to God. I’m still a work in progress. I don’t always get it right, but I have total faith and belief that God will walk with me every step of the way, molding me into the person He created me to be. When push comes to shove, I care more about what God thinks of me than people think of me.”
In a conversation with Us Weekly about her faith, Bure admitted, “Not everyone’s going to like what I have to say or agree with it or think I’m archaic or not on the right side of history. And I don’t care, I want to be on God’s side of history.”
“But I know that God’s word never changes, therefore, I don’t want to change,” she continued.

While speaking to Allie Beth Stuckey in an episode of Stuckey’s podcast, the actress added, “I’m not even trying to raise a respectful ruckus. I’m just trying to be me. I’m trying to do the things that I love and do my job, and Jesus always comes with me and my faith always comes with me.”
“I’m just trying to live by what I believe is true and right and honorable to God, and I remind myself of that when I get scared of man, or the public, or the press, or the media. I go, ‘Well, who am I, really, to fear? Am I to fear man, or am I to fear God, who’s going to judge me on Judgement Day?’” she said. “I just want to honor God.”
The FULL HOUSE actress has previously said that she hopes her legacy is about sharing her faith.
“I think about the legacy that I want to leave with my children, with my grandchildren, and publicly as a public person,” she told The Christian Post. “That is sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and sharing the love of God.”
Bure’s dedication to her faith is a powerful reminder to stand strong for our convictions.
