Kevin Sorbo weighed in on the “demonic” influence he’s seeing in Hollywood.
“Look at the movies they do,” he said in an interview with Fox News Digital. “I think there’s a lot of demonic stuff going on out there. I mean, the amount of violence and the amount of attacks. I look at it and say, ‘Why is Christianity being attacked so much right now?’ Let’s face it. Christians just kind of forge on, I guess. I think we gotta get a little tougher as well.”
The actor called these attacks “childish,” adding, “That’s why I find a lot of things in Hollywood, with their blacklisting people with conservative or Christian viewpoints…it’s just ridiculous and childish to me.”
“We all have different opinions,” Sorbo finished. “There’s nothing wrong with that.”
Sorbo has frequently spoken about his experiences being “cancelled” in Hollywood.
“I was always public with my faith, I never hid it — I think Hollywood changed,” he told Sky News. “I think it was about 10-12 years ago that things really started shifting.”

Sorbo recalled both his manager and agent cutting ties with him, saying, “We can’t work with you anymore, the studios don’t want to work with you anymore.”
“I said, ‘Why?’ and they said, ‘Because of the things you’re posting on the internet,’” he continued. “I said, ‘Oh, you mean the truth?’”
In a 2023 interview, Sorbo spoke further about this moment in his life, saying, “I almost had to laugh at that because it’s an industry that screams for tolerance, and yet it’s a one-way street. It screams for freedom of speech. But Hollywood’s a one-way street as well. And that’s just too bad, you know. But I love the industry. I love the movies and TV.”
“It was really weird,” he said of his “cancellation.” “I mean, here’s the thing. We have such a huge divide in our country right now, and it’s perpetuated by the mainstream media, perpetuated by movies, TV. I don’t harbor that kind of anger and hatred toward people. I have a different point of view.”
Sorbo has continued working, despite these challenges. He recently was announced to star in THE GATHERING PLACE, a movie inspired by a Delray Beach senior center.
“This is bigger than a movie,” Randy Kirshbaum, Chief Operating Officer of South Florida Medical and Behavioral Health Institute, said in a statement about the movie. “It’s about showing what’s possible when we invest in our seniors and refuse to let them face life’s hardest moments alone.”
Sorbo might have been “blacklisted” in Hollywood, but the actor is still finding a way to make projects he believes in.
